Super Furry Animals announced that they were to release their first new music in seven years, a momentous musical occasion. ‘Bing Bong’ was released in May 2016 to coincide with Wales’ qualification and appearance in the Euro ’16 football tournament.
Working with artist and filmmaker, Mark James and the band, an interview with 6 Music News and a video exclusive with The Guardian kick started a day in which ‘Bing Bong’ hit all of the major, UK music media, including NME, The Quietus, Loud and Quiet and The Line of Best Fit, crossing the Atlantic with Pitchfork and SPIN and onwards to Rolling Stone Russia and Mexico.
